The team ,led by head coach Bear Bryant and Barry Krauss made an great season and won the 1978 NCAA football national championship ring. Johnny Davis, was drafted to NFL after this season and honored the 49ers super bowl XVI championship ring a few years later.

The 1978 Albama football national championship ring continued the style of the 1964 albama football ring, and no players name is available for the orignals.
